A hungry Fox with a taste for nuts

Foxy in the snow.

It was snowing quite hard all day yesterday and foxy must have been quite hungry and came in really close to us. Foxy has acquired a taste for the nuts I feed the squirrels with and kept coming in to collect them, burying many for later.

Foxy ignored the birds and squirrels in favour of the scattered nuts. Mind you Foxy need to learn a few tricks off the squirrels who do a few dummy burials to fool watching critters, as the Magpies and Crows kept digging up Foxy's caches and stealing them. It was fantastic to watch. The only time Foxy ran off was whenever other people came along, I think I've gained his trust a little after tracking and photographing him since July 2012, but Foxy is easily spooked by anyone else and soon runs off only re-appearing once others have gone.

Unfortunately my photos from yesterday of Foxy aren't great as my camera eye piece kept steaming up making it very hard to see what I was trying to focus on and my lens kept fogging and getting wet in the heavy snow, so I'm quite pleased with what I did get considering the conditions.
